Another story from me, but now, about the importance of STORYTELLING.
In the last newsletter, I talked about the importance of a GREAT OFFER, now let’s see how stories can influence a sale.
When my girlfriend and I were in Spain, we walked into a perfume shop that specialized in natural fragrances. As we walked in, the cashier greeted us politely and asked us something in Spanish.
We said, “Sorry, English please, we’re still learning Spanish!”
The cashier smiled and said, “Alright! Thank you for visiting the shop. May I share some interesting stories about our shop?”

Wait! She wanted to tell us interesting stories about the shop first – not about the products, not about the current sale or discounts. Stories about the shop.
In my head, I thought, “Oh, warming up the audience!” (I’m constantly thinking about marketing, can’t help it

)
After listening to the fascinating story about the shop and then the story about how the fragrances are made, we bought four small perfumes!

To be honest, we didn’t really need four, but the story behind the shop and each fragrance was so interesting that we simply had to have them.
That’s how it’s supposed to be done.
There are many factors that can influence a sale, but a Great Offer and Storytelling are essential!
Think about this next time when you are presenting your product.
